I set up this account to help my son, Devin.
My name is Devin Landis, and I am an upcoming senior at Jackson School for the Arts, which is an arts school within Jackson High School in Massillon, Ohio. In our senior year, we are required to complete a senior internship project. I am very passionate about musical theater and serving the community and making a difference, so, for my project, I decided to combine these two passions. I am working to produce a student led musical production with all of the proceeds going to Wishes Can Happen, which is a local charity that grants wishes to children who have been diagnosed with terminal or chronic illnesses. This fits very well with the theme of the show that I chose, Into The Woods. The show features all of the fairy tale characters that children know and love, but also covers multiple meaningful and more mature themes: growing up, accepting responsibility, morality, and finally, wish fulfillment and the struggles that come with it. There are many expenses that come with producing a show of this caliber, such as the venue, rights, set, costumes, props, orchestration, and more. I am looking for local businesses, family, friends and everyone who loves theater to help sponsor the project, Obviously, the ultimate goal is for 100% of the profits to go directly to the foundation to help children diagnosed with terminal and chronic illnesses to make their wishes come true. I really appreciate your consideration in helping such a great cause!
