Fundraiser Medical Expenses for Tracy Dugay

Our friend and family member Tracy Dugay has a genetic heart disorder called Cardiomyopathy. Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for your heart to pump blood to the rest of the body. Tracy’s condition had been getting worse, and she was put on a list for a heart transplant. Tracy got a call Thursday, April 8th to be in Halifax because a heart was available for her. Tracy went into surgery at 4 am April 9th. She is out of surgery and we are awaiting an update from her husband Stuart.

 

Stuart is also in Halifax to support her and is currently off work as well. We were hoping to have a benefit in the community for Tracy, but due to COVID restrictions, this is not possible. We are hoping we can get some fundraising done to relieve the financial burden of the costs associated with this surgery (travel, time off work) for Tracy and her husband Stuart.
