This very handsome boy is Loki and he has an aural hematoma in his ear, which is a blood-filled swelling between the ear cartilage and skin. In his case, it is both inside and outside the ear. He has been treated with antibiotics and Prednisone. This hematoma has been drained and it just fills right back up. He is suffering in a lot of pain and his ear is dropping because of the weight in the swelling. Our only option to help him now is to surgically remove it so it doesn't keep coming back. The pain and pressure are really getting to him. He screams even if I touch it while checking on it. He has turned mean to the other cats; he has never been that way. He is really suffering.
