This fundraiser is for Ms. Dhannya Sojan(20) an international student in Canada from Thodupuzha, Kerala, India. A few weeks back, she developed Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). Her heart is currently functioning at only 20% capacity. After being discharged from Toronto General Hospital, she is currently residing in a transitional care Center. Her condition is very unstable. As an international student she does not have OHIP coverage and cannot renew her student insurance due to her existing condition.
Finding funds for her ongoing treatment and possible corrective measures like an ICD (Intracardiac Device) insertion, or other life saving procedures is a real challenge.
Dhannya is a very bright and hardworking young girl. With their limited means, her family back home is not in any position to help her currently. Our collective effort and goodwill can help a young girl in her struggle for life. Relying upon the goodwill of all kindhearted people, we are submitting this appeal for help.
