Dear Friends and Compassionate Strangers,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friend and colleague Sharon, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on May 2, 2023.

We have decided to start a GoFundMe page for Sharon as she would never ask for help herself. Her friends have taken it upon themselves to get to work and try to help with her permission. Sharon is a kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, loving friend and colleague. She has always been the biggest supporter of others when they are in need. Whether it is her son, Chance, her true constant, whom she adores more than anything else in the world, or a complete stranger, she is always there to help. Sharon is well known throughout the Yorkton area and beyond. She's the first to step in to lend a hand and rallies the troops when others have needed it. Her support for our community is well known through her actions planning fundraisers in private and organizational settings, raising money for scholarships, the capital campaign, volunteering time and resources to many groups, causes, nonprofits and always doing everything she can to ensure those around her are well taken care of and appreciated.

Now it is our turn to take care of her. As her friends, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help ease the financial burden associated with her treatment and care. Our goal for this campaign is to raise funds, which will directly contribute to her travel and accommodations in Regina for treatment and associated medical expenses. The funds will be used to allow her to take time to solely focus on her health and treatment journey. We are asking for your help in any way you can towards her fight with Breast Cancer and her recovery journey.

Sharon’s cancer diagnosis came as a shock following a routine mammogram, she received a resulting ultrasound and biopsy which unfortunately confirmed a cancer diagnosis. She is currently scheduled for surgery at the end of June as well as additional post surgery treatments.

We are asking for your help in any way you can towards her fight against Breast Cancer, surgery, treatments and recovery.
