Tonight, the heavens gained the most beautiful angel.

At 8:30pm, our beloved Linda grew her wings.

There are truly no words big enough to express the heartbreak we are feeling right now. Linda was the most incredible, kind-hearted, and selfless woman – she was Lucy’s entire world, and Lucy and her girls were everything to her. Her love and strength were unmatched, and tonight the world feels heavier without her in it.

On Monday, Lucy received the devastating news of her mum’s diagnosis – cancer had spread through her body, and there was nothing more that could be done. Just days later, Linda’s health declined rapidly. Her final days were made as comfortable and peaceful as possible, surrounded by love. I am absolutely gutted I didn’t get to see her in those final weeks, but I’m so thankful I was there for her final moments.

Linda, you raised the most amazing daughter – Lucy is made of steel, even though her heart is shattered. The suddenness of this loss has left everyone in complete shock. It’s nearly 1am, and Lucy and I are still sitting beside you, trying to understand why something so cruel could happen to someone so kind. It’s just so unfair.

As you can imagine, this has all happened so fast. With no time to prepare, we are asking for support from our friends, family, and community. We will be fundraising to help cover the costs of giving Linda the beautiful farewell she deserves.
