Fundraiser in Honor of Paola Patturelli-Hill

Hello Friends and Family,

This is Anne Walters and Cara Ferrick.

We are 2 close friends of Paola Patturelli-Hill and Wydrick Hill.

As you know, they are fairly private, so you may not be aware of what has occurred.

After some encouragement from us, Wydrick agreed to open up and receive support.

The past 9 months have been especially challenging for Paola. In January, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Endometrial cancer.

She and Wydrick immediately took action and she began treatment both in LA and Santa Barbara. Following the diagnosis, she had surgery immediately and they focused attention to diet, treatment, rest and recommendations from her Doctor. Unfortunately, the treatments were ineffective. Other treatments were researched and investigated however; the tumors continued to grow. Paola’s mother flew from Italy to be with her in July. Wydrick stood in strength, right next to his beloved, each and every day.

Our beautiful Paola left her body on Monday, September 12th at 11:09 am. She was surrounded by pure and complete love at home. Wydrick, Anne, Francesca, (Paola’s sweet mother), and I held her close with love in the sacred space that was created. There are no words to describe the experience. We know Paola is held by a grace and beauty beyond this world.

Paola is no longer in pain and is comfortable. Our hearts ache.

We understand that this is a difficult and shocking letter to read.

Wydrick is taking one step at a time. Anne and I, along with other friends and family, are with him along the way.

We have created a fundraising campaign and ask for you, if you can, to please offer any financial support. Since January, Paola was not able to work, and Wydrick, only sporadically. Wydrick spent the majority of his time caring for her. As some of you know, they own their own business so that has made it especially challenging.

Any donations will help Wydrick cover the hospital, medical and doctors bills that have added up over this period of time. He spent a great deal of time and money on all the things he hoped would make her comfortable, which included food and nutrition, clothing, bedding, medications and holistic remedies.

Anne and I will keep you informed of a gathering to celebrate her beautiful life.
