Asking for money is awkward. But it becomes easier when it's for someone like Ximena.

Ximena has been living in Santa Cruz since 2014. Santa Cruz has given her so much. Here, her love for camping, hiking, surfing, snowboarding and biking blossomed. Santa Cruz was her home when her mom passed away in 2018. Santa Cruz was her home when she married Pat in her backyard in 2020.

The CZU Lightning Complex fires are raging in Santa Cruz. They destroyed the home where Ximena was storing ALL of her possessions while she is in Canada with Pat. EVERYTHING, including her car, is gone. Her bikes, her camping gear, her clothes, memories of her mom, EVERYTHING. 

So if Ximena means to you a fraction of what she means to us, please consider giving. She only had car insurance so all of her lost possessions won't be replaced. 

Ximena is generous. Her laugh is loud. She loves karaoke. She listens when you talk. She remembers what you said and she asks you about it later. She didn't deserve this.
