Fundraiser for Wayne ‘Lips’ Mountford
Donation protected
Friends of Wayne are starting a series of fundraising events to support him and his family. We are not just asking for your generous contributions but will complete a series of fundraisers in addition to your support.
Brief introduction to our Wayne for those who don’t know. Wayne has been involved in non-league football for many years having played for the likes of Eastwood Hanley, Leek Town, Kidsgrove Athletic, Newcastle Town including Sunday League Football at Sneyd Arms to name but a few. He is a well known character on the social scene but we will say no about that!! In addition to his playing career he was also involved in coaching up to Step 4.
You may or may not know Wayne has Multiple Myeloma which is currently being treated. However, whilst having to deal with his ongoing cancer treatment another curve ball has been thrown into the mix. Imminently Wayne will require major heart surgery and the recovery period will impact his ability to earn any money due to him being self-employed therefore, as a group of friends we want to support both Wayne and his family by doing a series of fund raising events to alleviate any financial burden as the recovery period maybe substantial.
We would like to offer the opportunity for you all to contribute in anyway you feel fit, so let me tell you how we are going to support this.
