Fundraiser for Trigeminal Neuralgia

makenna Edissi is organizing this fundraiser to benefit Trigemenal Neuralgia Association of Canada 2006.

For my birthday tomorrow, I was hoping that I could have your help. My mom has always been my #1 supporter, so I would like to do something special for her.

Over the past few years I have watched my mom struggle with Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). TN is a chronic pain condition that stems from the trigeminal nerve. It is characterized by recurrent electric shock-like pain in one or more branches of the trigeminal nerve. It makes simple tasks like eating and talking difficult.

The pain is so severe that TN is often referred to as the suicide-disease.

Currently, there is NO CURE for TN - and few effective ways to manage the pain. I have set up a gofundme in hopes to raise some money for research and to raise general awareness about the condition. 100% of the donations will go to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association of Canada (TNAC).
