Fundraiser for Theater Digital Piano Baby Grand

We are raising money to benefit Bluff City Theater in Hannibal MO and any donation will help make an impact.  

We are fundraising specifically for a DIGITAL PIANO. This year the theater will add musical content to theater performances. In order to do that we need a piano of high quality. 

The great thing about a digital piano  vs a traditional grand piano is that:

• A high quality digital piano is the very best substitute for a traditional grand piano. It has a wonderful, full sound and the feel of a traditional grand. 
• It is a fraction of the cost of an acoustic grand piano  ($2900 vs $7000)
• This digital piano is relatively lightweight (weighing 200 pounds vs 700 pounds for a baby grand) 
• It takes up very little room onstage; although it is wide like a grand piano, the digital is much shorter. 
• A digital piano can be moved to various venues, and tucked in a corner if the space requires. 
• This investment will last for years ...  come what may. We added the 5 year accident coverage, in addition to the warranty.

Bluff City Theatre is an artist-driven theatre company with an emphasis on literary works that bridge the gap between books and stage. While not exclusively limited to literature, the aim of the theatre will be to explore the written word through stage adaptation.

The theatre seeks to enhance the quality of life for residents of North-eastern Missouri and Western Illinois by producing high-quality performances employing the best actors, directors, musicians and technicians available in an intimate setting.

The theatre will, first and foremost, seek to entertain but its mandate will extend to educating audiences and fostering a larger discussion around the works and their themes and an appreciation of the role live theatre plays in propogating ideas and public discourse.

Your generous dollars of this Go Fund Me campaign goes to pay for:
• The retail price of the piano  ($2,200)
• A 5-year Pro-plan accident coverage for any damage or failure,  includes:
               all costs related to expedited repair or replacement, all shipping costs, (price $490)
• Sales tax (8%)
• GoFundMe fees (2.9% of total donated + $.30 per donation)
• Shipping is free. 

IF your donations exceed the gofund me campaign amount your donation will be used to pay the production costs, actors and directors.  We are always need donations to support the theater.  

These productions are made possible through theater memberships, performance tickets, national arts grants, corporate sponsors, but most importantly, through the generous donations from you, the public.
