Hi! I'm Shannon Bowen. My husband, Matt, and I are starting this fundraiser for Marie and Brian Quillian. About 6 weeks ago, Marie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Last week, she underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. She is now home and recovering. As you know, things like this happen to people unexpectedly and cause them lots of worry, as well as their friends and family. In addition, situations like this come with a big financial cost that no one is prepared for such as co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, gas for numerous trips to Atlanta for doctor's visits and missed work. While we cannot take away the worry that comes with the medical piece of it, we can help ease the financial burden.
