My name is Michael Bronfenbrenner and I am a documentary filmmaker. I am in the process of doing a five part series on unique high school sports stories about small towns that win state championships. The first film in the series, JUST PLOWBOYS, has won several film festival awards including best documentary at the Tennessee International Film Festival.

I have begun production on a new film in the series, COACH BOB COLVIN AND THE LEGACY OF THE BLACK KNIGHTS , which tells the story of the legendary hall of fame coach Bob Colvin, who led the Robbinsville High School Football team to eleven state championships. This achievement is particularly noteworthy, given the very high quality of high school football in western North Carolina.

I have been working closely on this project with Coach Colvin's son Branyon, and his daughter Haize, both have proven to be invaluable.

Robbinsville lives, eats and breathes football, --the community support for the team and the school is truly remarkable and the legacy is passed on from generation to generation.

This is not just the story of a team,-- it is the story of a community, of coaches, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, fans and families, that made this all happen. It is a generational story---players who after they leave high school, come back to Robbinsville to become coaches, and that legacy continues even today.

I have already begun production on the film, have been to Robbinsville twice and have already begun interviewing some of the people who are vital to the story.

Here is what still needs to be done:

a) Make three more trips to Robbinsville and other locations to film more interviews--players, coaches, staff, fans, sportswriters, families, opposing players and coaches etc.

b) Research, collect and organize videos, photos, newspaper articles etc.

c) Post Production: log all shot footage, do video editing (this is the step that requires extensive time), digitize game tapes, scriptwriting, music selection, narration recording, graphic design and creation, and then the final edit in prep for the premiere.

The film is scheduled to be completed in late fall of 2024, with the premiere to be in the fall of 2024.

The funds will be used to cover the following expenses:

Travel, production insurance, crew, equipment, graphics design and creation, tape digitizing, music and image licensing, narration recording, color correction, video and audio editors, and the final audio mix and post-production editing.

Bronze Level: Up to $100.00. Sponsors to receive: Film Credit, special thanks as a sponsor.

Silver level: $100.00-$250.00 Sponsors to receive: Film Credit (special thanks and as a sponsor), a baseball hat featuring the film title , and an 11x14 photo collage, and your name will appear in the Premiere Program.

Gold Level: $250-$500 Sponsors to receive: Gold Level sponsors will receive all the provisions of the Silver Level, plus a personalized DVD of the completed film and their name will appear in the Premiere Program.

Titanium Level: $500- $1,000.00. Titanium Level sponsors will receive all the provisions of the Gold Level, plus a baseball hat featuring the film title , and an 11x14 photo collage. Titanium level sponsors will be introduced and recognized at the Film Premiere, and will have complimentary prime reserved seating for the Premiere.

Diamond Level: $1,000 to $2,500. Diamond Level sponsors will receive all the provisions of the Titanium Level, plus they will receive a custom scrapbook, with photos and images from the film and the team. Diamond Level sponsors will receive an Associate Producer Credit in the film, and will be provided, on DVD, with a video of the presentation at the Premiere.

Producer Level: $2,500.00 and above. Producer level sponsors will receive all the provisions of the Diamond Level, plus they will receive a Producer Credit in the Film, and will presented with 16x20 framed photograph of themselves with team members at the Premiere and will receive a personalized Wilson football commemorating the event.

Executive Producer Level: $5,000.00 and above. Executive producer level sponsors will receive all the provisions of the Producer Level, and will receive Executive Producer Billing, and the film will open with with an animated graphic of their name as the presenter for the film. Executive Producers will also receive a special gift at the Premiere.
