My name is Sophie Daigle and I am sharing on behalf of some dear friends of mine - Matt and Samantha Dodson. They are a godly, Christian couple and faithful members of Idlewild Baptist Church. Hurricane Helene flooded their home with 5 feet of water and destroyed the majority of their possessions including all of their furniture, appliances, beds, baby cribs, mattresses, and more. They carried their two girls, age 3 and age 1, in the middle of the night through chest level water for half a mile to escape the flooding. By the grace of God they are all safe but their home is unlivable for the next several months while repairs are made and they have lost the majority of their essential household items. Sam is also pregnant and preparing for the birth of their baby boy in January.
