This Thanksgiving will mark a year my brother-in-law, Michel, had to stop working because of a horrible pain he was suffering in his left knee. After multiple visits to different drs to try to find out what was causing the pain he’d been having for months he was finally diagnosed this past June with Biphasic Synovial Sarcoma

Or an uglier word; Cancer.

A double rare cancer that affects the joints. The devastating diagnosis not what we were expecting to hear, and not the end of the bad news. The drs decided that the only way to get rid of the cancer is to amputate his leg from above the knee. He has been scheduled for surgery to amputate his leg tomorrow. The positive side to this is that it has not spread to his lungs or any other soft tissue.

I’ve decided to make this Gofundme account for my sister, and brother-in-law for those of you who feel called to help during this difficult time. Once a stay-at-home mother who tended to their 6 kids, my sister went back to work to be able to provide for their family. She’ll be taking some time off work to take care of her husband after this life-changing surgery. All monies raised will used to help cover any/all medical costs, bills, etc.
