Fundraiser for the Armstrongs

Hello! I’m starting this fund to help my dear friends, Micki and Paul. Micki and I go way back and have known each other since high school. This breaks my heart to hear my friend in such distress and I would like to help in anyway I can in easing the burden of the cost of fuel for Micki having to travel 3 hours one way, to and from the hospital, the cost of meals, hospital parking, and being unable to work during this time. Parking alone is $10 a day and Paul is expected to be admitted to the Oncology unit for at least 4-6 weeks. Paul is a retired Marine, husband to my dear friend Micki, and father of 4, 3 sons, and a daughter. He was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and has been admitted to UNC Chapel Hill since March 14th. A little over a month ago, Paul suffered a stroke and was taken to Carolina East Medical Center by EMS. He was then admitted to the ICU. It was during this time, during his hospital stay that he had some critical labs result and the leukemia ended up being an incidental finding. After bone marrow biopsy, this was confirmed. They are currently waiting for further test results to come back for an appropriate treatment plan. If you could please donate to this family to help out, I would be so grateful.
