On Monday March 11, 2019 Steven was rushed to the hospital because of a large blood clot over his heart that caused him to stop breathing and go into cardiac arrest.
The doctors placed him in a controlled state of hypothermia to cool his body and brain in order to prevent any possible damage. That Thursday after this trauma, the doctors started going through the process of waking him up but he was unable to follow the commands given by them so they kept him lightly sedated while continuing to drain blood from his lungs.
After a week Steven is not able to follow the commands given when his sedation is lifted. The doctors are deciding whether or not to perform a minor surgical procedure to stop the bleeding in the lungs.
Needless to say Steven’s road to recovery is going to take some time. While he fights to overcome the damage his body is going through we are raising money for his three beautiful children; Luke 9, James 7 and Heidi 5 as well as giving a hand to his wife Christina. Steven is the primary bread winner and with him out of work finances are going to be slim. They will need assistance with living expenses and medical bills in the weeks and months to come. Your donation will go towards these expenses.
