Fundraiser for South Australia Bushfire Relief

Tragically bushfires had a huge impact on the South Australian community this festive period.
I live in Nairne in the Adelaide Hills and have seen so many people in our community that lost everything and need to rebuild from scratch.
The fires also had a huge impact on our environment that will take years if not decades to recover. The amount of animals that have died and that have been injured is mind blowing.
Myself and a colleague of mine ( Nigel McGaffin ) have decided to team up and raise funds for those that were affected by the fires.
How will we do it ?
Both of us are very keen runners and we decided to take part in a track race the evening of the 25th of January. https://ultrasa.com.au/events/track-100/
Nigel will run the 50km event and I will run the 100km event in support of 3 great causes.
We have decided to support:
- Adelaide Hills – State Emergency Relief Fund ( https://dhs.sa.gov.au/services/disaster-recovery/about-state-recovery#serf )
- Kangaroo Island – Mayoral Relief Fund ( https://www.kangarooisland.sa.gov.au/community/kangaroo-island-bushfires-2020 )
- Kangaroo Island – Hanson Bay Wildlife and Koala Sanctuary ( https://www.hansonbay.com.au/ and https://www.facebook.com/HansonBayWildlifeSanctuary/ )
The money raised will be split equally amongst all 3 of these causes
The Fundraiser page will be closed on Tuesday the 28th of January after which we will publish on social media how much we raised and how much each cause will receive.
The funds will then be transferred and we'll also publish proof of the transfer to each of these causes.
If you feel like contributing then please donate any amount. Every dollar raised will help to support the affected community and help with the treatment and recovery of the injured Koalas
