Fundraiser for Seth and Yasmeen

This morning, October 28, my son, Seth and his wife, Yasmeen were awoken abruptly by people pounding on their bedroom window. They didn’t realize their apartment building was on fire until they were outside (the smoke alarms didn’t work). Sadly, their kitty, Bebe was in the apartment. The roof on the top floor was collapsing at that time and it took about 3 hours before the firefighters could go in and look for her. They couldn’t find her, so we are hopeful she escaped out the front door.

Seth and Yasmeen lost everything in the fire. I am starting this gofundme to, hopefully, get them some money for the basics (clothes, toiletries, etc).

Donations are not expected, of course. They do ask that you pray for the safe return of sweet Bebe. That is their primary concern at the moment.

*UPDATE FROM SETH AND YASMEEN 

Hi everyone, just an update. First, we 

want to thank everyone for their kind words and support. I’d like to thank all of you who donated here and to the Amazon wish list. We’re blown away by the amount of love and support everyone has shown us these last few days. Our current situation is as follows: We’ve lost everything. The apartment is being called a total loss and we can’t go in due to the structure of the building possibly collapsing. We have not found Bebe yet and are praying we find her. We are going every day to look for her and set up some traps. We’re putting up flyers today. Keep our girl in your thoughts and prayers that we find her; that’s all we want. This entire situation is our worst nightmare come true and, being honest, we are not okay. But we know we will be because we have an amazing support system and the best friends and family around. Thank you again to everyone. We feel the love.
