My name is Jan, and I started this fundraiser to help my friend Sam and her family during this medical situation. My friend Sam worked for Spearfish school district as a secretary for many years.

Sam was diagnosed with liver cancer in October 2023. Last year she discovered that there were also some tumors in her lung. She has fought valiantly and she is so strong and brave. But things are getting harder for her. I am unable to help her medical situation, but I am able to help her financially by raising funds for her family.

I started this fundraiser to assist with travel expenses, living expenses, and anything else that she and the boys need during this time.
