This is Alison Tocci, owner of the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley, MA.

Sparkle Cleaning Services has been our longtime cleaning service, but Sabrina, who runs Sparkle, is more than a service provider; she is a warm & wonderful person, a friend and a Shirley neighbor with a lovely family . Sabrina cleans not only our business but many other homes and businesses in the Ayer-Shirley-Harvard area. Unfortunately, she is unable to work most of her jobs due to caring for her husband Curtis at this time.

Here is what happened in Sabrina's own words:

Our world turned upside down on July 17th when my husband Curtis suffered a sudden and serious brain bleed. He was rushed to the hospital and emergency surgery was needed to save his life.

We are still trying to wrap our heads around what happened - one minute he was at home - and the next we were fighting for his life.

He is currently in a rehabilitation facility, working hard to regain his strength and function. He is receiving therapy and making slow but steady progress. He has both good and bad days. It's been an emotional roller coaster but we are holding on tight and taking it one day at a time.

I have had to step away from work to care for Curtis, manage hospital visits, and keep our family afloat. Unfortunately, the bills don't stop. Curtis is the heart of our family. He is a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He's funny, loyal, and always shows up when people need him, and now he needs some help.
