Robin Farr, loving Mother, Daughter, Nana, Sister, Auntie, and friend to so many, passed away on Thursday, April 9th, after a courageous five year battle with stage 4 cancer.
For all of us lucky to have known Robin, we know how amazing she was. For myself, and so many of Michaela & Ryan's friends and family, the Farr house was our second home. An unofficial orphanage, if you will, where Robin and John so graciously opened up their hearts and home. I know personally how embarrassed my mother was of how many days in a row I would stay over, but I was never made to feel bad about overstaying my welcome. They would just set an extra plate at the dinner table and be happy to have the extra company. I know I'm not the only one to have had such a special bond with Robin. She left an impression on anyone that knew her.
Robin's children and grandchildren were her whole world. She was their biggest supporter in everything they did. She had a love for everything gymnastics and cheer and was always front and center at every meet or competition Michaela had. For those who were lucky enough to have been coached by Robin at Hoosac Valley or UMASS, she was most remembered for her support and encouragement, her "Mat Talks", and her love for a good cheer bow.
As you can imagine, a five year cancer battle is emotionally and financially draining. So many have asked how they can support the family during this difficult time so we have set up this page in response to the outpouring of love and support for Robin. It is our hope that the financial contributions will allow the family to focus their time and energy on grieving their loss, without having to worry about how they will pay for mounting medical expenses and a funeral.
Please join us to help support this incredible family. No donation is too big or small.
Much Love,
