Teage Maxwell Fuller was born on Monday - October 15th - 3 weeks early.  During Katie's routine 36 week checkup on Friday (Oct. 12th) it was discovered that Teage had SVT (super ventricular tachycardia).  Rob, Katie & Teague were flown Friday night to Sanford medical in Fargo.  Once they arrived in Fargo, the pediatric cardiologist did an ECHO and found that there was an anomaly with Teage's heart.  Saturday October 13th - the family was flown from Fargo to Rochester, MN for care at the Mayo Clinic.

After 36 hours of tests and worry, it was discovered that Teage has Ebstein's Anomaly.  It is a very rare congenital heart defect.  This anomaly affects the tricuspid valve on the right side of the heart.  The valve grows to low in the right ventricle and causes blood backflow, enlargement of the heart and other serious heart issues.  Because of the issues, it was decided that Katie would be induced and the baby delivered on Monday.  Teage came into this world at 9:13 pm - he weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz and was 20 3/4" long.

Teage had another SVT episode shortly after birth and was quickly transported to the NICU.  Medications were given and discussions started about how to proceed to correct the anomaly.  There were a variety of paths the pediatric cardiologist could take but he preferred to put a stent in the PDA.  Surgery was supposed to be Monday Oct 22nd - on Wednesday a CT scan was done and it was some issues were discovered.  Surgery to place the stent was moved up to Thursday October 18rd.
