Fundraiser for RJ Graddy & Family Medical Expenses
RJ Graddy, the most accomplished "Jumper" in Madison (NJ) High School Track & Field history, suffered a tragic "freak" accident in an athletic event recently, which severed an artery in his left leg and resulted in an amputation below his knee.
After graduating college, RJ pursued his career in his adopted city of Austin, Texas. His family has made the 1,700+ Mile trek from NJ to TX to be with him during his procedures and rehab. It is enough of a burden for any parent have this happen to their child, but even worse with the long distance.
The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help offset the family's travel and living expenses in Texas and for any subsequent medical costs incurred by the Graddys. His Mom, Sharon, has been in Texas for a week with other family members, including Dad, Rudy, following her down.
I mentioned in the opening paragraph RJ's ability as a Triple-Long- High Jumper; however, he is one of the nicest and kindest kids I have ever met. He volunteered countless hours during his time in both High School, and when he came home from College, to the Madison Youth Track & Field program. Hundreds of kids that he taught the sport to know what a great person he is. I ask you to consider contributing to the Fundraising effort.
