July 3rd,2025 10:29pm On what seemed like a normal day, our lives changed forever.

Rigo was involved in a devasting dirt bike accident leaving him to fight for his life.

He was rushed to HUMC where the nightmare began, 22 days in the ICU. Despite multiple surgeries and the best team of doctors. He was put on life support 7/11/2025 the ECMO to support his lungs. He sustained a complete spinal cord injury, left femur tib/fib fracture, right broken wrist, blow to the abdomen which required open abdomen surgery . 15 days into his battle, his team of doctors decided it was the best window to get spine surgery to stabilize his back on 7/18/2025. His injuries were too severe. On 7/25/2025 he lost his courageous battle.

Rigo was only 31, spending his 31st birthday in a medically induced coma on July 9th. He was father, spouse, son, a brother and a friend to so many. But most heartbreakingly he leaves his 6 year old son, who was his best friend. This loss was sudden and unimaginable. As we try to process our grief and navigate this painful time. Any contribution will go directly to his funeral expenses. Helping us with tragedy placed on our family.

We are heartbroken, But in our sorrow, we are also incredibly grateful for the outpouring love and support shown to us. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
