Fundraiser for Rick Kirk and family.

I don't know where to start. It's still such a shock to most of us. 

Recently our dear father Rick has passed away due to complications from COVID-19 and we are reaching out to family and friends for a little help financially to complete the cremation process and the multitudes of death certificates we need to send out.  Our mother Christine is struggling hard but we are making progress with getting everything in order.

About a week before Christmas, both Rick and our mother Christine contracted Covid. It was certainly hard to not be able to spend Christmas with them for sure. About a week afterward, Rick progressively got worse and was having trouble breathing and ending up having to go to the hospital in an ambulance. 

Our poor father spent a week in the hospital alone before having to be intubated (basically an induced coma) and put on a ventilator due to his trouble breathing.  He was doing that for a couple days and he wasn't getting better or worse, which according to his doctors was a good thing. After 3 days, his blood pressure spiked slightly and they got it under control.

As of 01/08/21 around 1AM in the morning, his blood pressure spiked again which lead to more complications and he passed. 

Rest in peace Dad.
