Fundraiser for Redwine Family
Donation protected
Okay everyone, we need you to drop everything you are doing right now and read this. We need to rally the troops!!
Many of you know the Redwine family. Adam and Brandi have lived in Mason their whole lives and both graduated from Mason High School, Brandi's parents own Butcher Bills. They are also a Dragonfly family, with their youngest daughter, Ava, a cancer survivor. About five years ago, their oldest child, Haley, became sick. After much testing she was finally diagnosed with Anti-NMDA receptor autoimmune encephalitis, a very rare disease, and there is still a lot of unknowns about this disease. Haley was not able to finish high school on time, as she was in and out of school struggling badly, but is still working towards graduation. After tweaking and experimenting with several different medications (one was a chemo), Haley finally seemed to take a turn for the better, and over several months improved and was able to get a job. She had achieved a brief remission. Things started getting back to normal for the family... but a few months ago they started noticing some setbacks with Haley, and now things have quickly deteriorated and they are back to square one. In addition, Adam lost his job. Haley recently needed an inpatient stay at the hospital to receive steroids to try to control some of her horrible symptoms and to have more imaging done to screen for a tumor, which can be associated with the disease. They just received a $33,000 bill. This is just a drop in the bucket for their overall expenses. They have applied for medicaid but have not yet gotten approval.
The Redwine family has worked hard to maintain as much normalcy at home as possible, but years of dealing with this (after years of their youngest child battling cancer) is taking it's toll. They need help and are humble, kind people. We NEED our village to step up and help them. Let's help them pay their mounting bills and purchase Christmas gifts. Mason is an incredible community who always rallies around it's own. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful community with such kind and generous people. Please find it in your heart to make a donation this holiday season to help this Mason family. Even the smallest donation can add up!!
Thank you all!
