Fundraiser for our friend, Joey Ferri

How do we put into a few short I words how much our dear friend Joey Ferri means to us? The better part of 30 years Joey has been a devoted friend and hard worker, partnering in NBS and running sound for countless live music events here in the Lowcountry. But most notably Joey is the beloved father to JoJo, whom he cherishes.

In 2017 a metastatic prostate cancer diagnosis would have rocked anyone’s world, but Joey fought like hell, braving treatments and countless medical procedures all while continuing his fatherly responsibilities to JoJo and working alongside his friends day and many nights.

Sadly, and more recently, the cancer aggressively spread through his body and bones. Joey was no longer able to work and in the recent months debilitating fractures, pain, and the stark, cruel reality of this disease has overtaken him as we stand powerless to do much more than witness the devastating wake of this illness.

Joey continues to fight from his home with frequent visits from his hospice nurse. Joey wouldn’t willingly accept a dime for himself, but on behalf of his friends, family, and loved ones I ask that with an open heart we give back to Joey, a man who has given so much to others. Decades of friendship and service, this is a man who has given far more than he’s ever received.

We now have the opportunity to help in the only tangible way to do so. All monies received will go directly to expenses related to Joey’s immediate care and needs, as well as to the needs of his son JoJo.
