Fundraiser for orphans in Uganda and Vietnam

Hi, my name is Anika.

This year to celebrate my birthday, I have organized a fundraiser to help support orphans in Uganda and Vietnam.

When my father passed away, my mother was too poor to take care of me. Sometimes my family didn’t even have rice to eat. So they left me in an orphanage in Vietnam, where I had the chance to be adopted and find a better life. Now here I am! And I want to use my blessings to bless others in need. Specifically children like me, who didn't get the same chance I did.

All proceeds will be donated to Children of the Nations-Uganda and Worldwide Orphans-Vietnam.

Uganda has an estimate of 2.7 million orphans with an estimate of at least 15,000 children live in the streets. In Vietnam, nearly 5.5 million children are deprived of nutrition, shelter, water, health, education or social inclusion. 100 children under 5 years old die every day of preventable causes. These children are vulnerable to being victims of child labour, child marriage, human and organ trafficking, sex trade, becoming child soldiers, etc.
