Hi my name is Sabah and I'm fundraising for Najeebullah Siddiqi.
I met Najeebullah whilst working as a physiotherapist. I was so moved by his story I felt I needed to do something to help him.
Najeeb is 39 from Afghanistan and is an orphan, his parents passed at a young age. Due to difficulties he was facing in Afghanistan he felt he could no longer stay there. He travelled to Pakistan, Russia then Europe and finally got to England on a lorry. Desperation for a better life made him make this horrendous journey. He suffers from polio which made the journey even more difficult for him. Due to the poor living conditions he contracted TB and became very unwell and suffered from long term lung damage as a result. Recently he was admitted to hospital with a severe infection and extensive lung damage. He almost died several times whilst in hospital.
His condition has further deteriorated and he is now on long term oxygen and is under the care of the palliative team. His mobility is restricted with his breathing and he has been socially isolated for months. he had given up on life. He has no family or friends. He has a social worker and carers support him four times a day. However their input is minimal due to time/financial constraints. His council flat is not appropriate, he has no flooring and only has a handful of clothes. He is very socially isolated.
Najeeb has had so much misfortune in his life he does not deserve this. He deserves a better quality of life. Please help me raise some funds for him to ensure he has the best care and support.
The funds raised will help towards getting some flooring for his flat , taxi funds to help him get out and about, food, shopping, clothes ect.
