Fundraiser for my friend Erick Miranda

Hello, my name is Marvin Mata, and I am starting a GoFundMe for my friend Erick Miranda who is in need of some help during difficult times.

Erick decided to come to USA from Guatemala seeking a better life with more opportunities. Erick has faced many challenges since very early in his life, he was infected with Polio when he was about 1 year old which affected his limbs and caused him to have to use crutches permanently to move around. This has not stopped Erick from living his life while facing the many challenges every day, he is a hard worker and despite his disability he is able to do most things like any person, but it hasn’t been easy. He looked for a job for a long time without luck, until he finally found one where he worked for about 3 years. Again, he had to deal with a lot of challenges with his boss, discrimination, and had to fight a lot to get special accommodations for his disability. Unfortunately, he was fired without a reason, and he is owed money for hours worked, vacations, etc. He is currently dealing with the Labor Commission, but this is a long difficult process.

Erick started driving for Uber to support himself and he was doing well, until a couple of weeks ago he was involved in an accident, another driver hit his car and fled the scene, no witnesses or video. Though he was not injured his car was severely damaged and he is unable to work while the car is in the shop being fixed, dealing with the insurance claim, it has been 2 weeks and they haven’t started working on his car and it could take at least a month before the car is done and Erick can begin driving again.

Erick needs help to pay for his expenses until he can work again, rent, car payments, insurance, phone, food, etc.
