Hey everyone! As you may or may not know, my Dad has been struggling with cancer. It started in the late fall of 2024, when he went to the E.R. With severe abdominal pain. During his surgery he was informed that he has abdominal cancer (two types) and then was later to informed that he also has blood cancer. He has been passed from doctor to doctor and getting no proper advice due to all the conflicting information he has been provided with. They have decided to start with chemotherapy to rid his body of the abdominal cancer (they weren’t able to get it all during the first surgery) THEN move to a stem cell treatment which will be at least a year of recovery and his immune system will be dangerously compromised. The reason I reluctantly started this go fund me was because on his birthday, no less, he was informed that the benefits he has been paying into for the last 40+ years has denied coverage for the chemotherapy drugs. This is a man who has worked from the time he was 18, NEVER calls in sick or even takes vacation. He would give you the shirt off his back and would NEVER ask for anything in return. I am the oldest daughter of three. He also has two step sons and a wife of well over a decade. He has always taken care of everyone but himself and it’s time for for that to change. He may not be pleased with me for making this fundraiser on his behalf, in fact, he doesn’t even know as of right now. He is the strongest man I know. The protector of all protectors but as of now he is defeated. I am hoping to raise whatever we can. ANYTHING will help. He is far to proud to do anything like this so I will do it because I know so many people respect and love this man. He deserves nothing but the best and it’s now our turn to take care of him - eliminate stress - and show him how much he is truly loved and the difference he has made to those around him.
