Fundraiser for my dad after a house fire

Update: I want to thank everyone who has shared this and donated so far. We are so lucky to have this community behind us. I have raised the fundraising goal because we need short term housing for my dad, and we need to rebuild. Additionally, his stay here will be longer than anticipated because he will be getting skin grafts next week. Thank you again for everything you all have done for us. 

Hi, my name is Heather and I am fundraising for my Dad after a house fire in the middle of the night. My dad and his girlfriend were asleep when his house went up in flames. Luckily, the two of them escaped from the window, however my dad has second degree burns on 54% of his body. He was rushed to the hospital and is being transported to Westchester Burn Center, where he will have a long road to recovery ahead of him. We are so grateful that the two of them escaped, but they lost everything including their three beloved dogs who were more like family. If you know my dad, you know he would give the shirt off his back to quite literally anyone who needed it. I am hoping to raise money to make the weight of his burdens a little less painful when he recovers. If you do not have the means to donate, please share. Thank you in advance.
