Fundraiser for Minnie
Friday evening our youngest baby Minnie accidentally got into some lilies and had to be rushed to the hospital. We were faced with a life or death decision. We could save her life if treated immediately, but at a hefty cost as it was the VRCC Emergency Clinic who was best equipped to take care of our little one. Minnie turns two years old in just a few weeks, and we decided that she had so much time left with us that we had no other choice - we decided to move forward.
Minnie has remained stable since admission, and her prognosis is incredibly hopeful, but we are not out of the weeds yet as I type this. She will be in our arms before the day is out, but only after an incredibly long 48 hours and some not so fun procedures for our girl.
We are asking those close to us and anyone who may have the capacity to help us ease the financial burden. Her final vet bill is looking to be about $3000. Anyone who knows us might imagine that we have been an absolute mess for what feels like the longest weekend ever. It is hard for us to ask, but are very much hoping something positive can come out of this experience.
If we are fortunate to raise any excess of our goal, each additional penny will be donated to the MaxFund Wellness Center in Denver, Colorado - an amazing organization that provides assistance and access to low cost veterinary care.

We would also like to take this opportunity to share what does not seem to be a common bit of knowledge: Lilies of most variations are INCREDIBLY toxic to felines at ANY amount. Please take the time to read the following, and we encourage pet owners to research any plant you decide to bring into a home with animals.
