My brother Matthew was in a horrible accident on Friday May 5th. He was ejected from a Polaris which rolled over him causing him many life changing injuries. He was Star Flighted from Llano to Round Rock hospital. His injuries include two broken leg bones, skull fracture, broken pelvis, broken hip, and a shattered/nearly severed thumb. To repair his body, he has to go through many surgeries. He had to get a rod in his leg, screw in his hip, plates and screws in his pelvis, and pins and hardware to repair his thumb. After healing, he will have to have additional surgeries to remove some of the hardware. Matthew will not be able to stand for 2 months and will require extensive rehabilitation to be able to regain normal function. Unfortunately, a week before the accident his car broke down and he will need transportation to and from doctors visits once he is able to drive. Going forward, the future is uncertain and anything you feel led to give would help make his transition into full healing manageable.
