Fundraiser for Markita Roberson

Dear Friends of Markita,

2022 has been a tough year for our dear sister. She was unemployed for some months at the beginning of the year. Financial recovery has been difficult even after she started working full time, plus performing extra “gig” work. Then she was hit with a double whammy during the last month: Markita was hospitalized due to diabetes complications, and the rent on her apartment has gone up to a level which she simply cannot afford.

Markita has now made the difficult decision to leave California to go live with her sister in Las Vegas. She will need to find a new job once she has moved. And she faces moving expenses and medical bills while she is still recovering from her recent hospital stay. The need is urgent: she needs to leave her apartment before Christmas.

I have created this page with Markita’s permission, to ask if any of you can help her out financially. Here is Markita’s request in her own words:

What am I asking of you? First, I need your prayers. Please pray that the Lord would help me settle in my heart the challenge of starting over and that he would strengthen me as I meet this challenge from this place of frailty. Secondly, I will also ask you to pray and ask the Lord what you should do to be a tangible blessing to me. The need is great and several of you have already been exceedingly generous. But please know that whatever you feel led to give, every penny is greatly appreciated.
