Fundraiser for Mark Griffin

Im fundraising on behalf of my friends Debbie and Mark Griffin and their children. Mark, 49, lead an entirely healthy life up until he became suddenly and drastically unwell 2 days after his  fathers sudden death. Mark had suffered an aortic dissection resulting in him ending up on life support in St. James Hospital in Dublin. He has battled through 2 extensive surgeries and various other complications. We are fundraising to cover the costs of Marks extensive rehabillation and recovery.


More details regarding Mark :
They had recently moved to Spain and got the phonecall on dec 4th that marks dad Dinny had passes suddenly. They returned to Ireland Dec 6th and that evening Mark complained of chest pains.He was diagnosed with a dissected aorta which is a catastrophic condition most dont survive. He was given a few hours to live but he battled on. On the Wed his condition detiorated as his organs were shutting down. He was sent by specialist cardiac ambulance to St. James the same time his dad was been taken from the house to Shannon cematorium. He was not expected to survive the journey or the operation but he did .

He has battled through a serious lung infection, cardiac arrest and 2 more operations. He is cuurently stable on life support and is showing signs of improvement every day. He will need a lot of rehabillation as he is currently on dialysis and has  issues with other organs He is expected to be in hospital for many months.
