Fundraiser for Mario Quinonez & Family
On July 29, Mario received the devastating diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer.
After speaking to an oncologist on August 7, he and his family have learned that it is Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, which only affects 7% of patients with a Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis. Fortunately, this specific type of cancer, while aggressive and ultimately terminal, does respond well to treatment and the doctor was able to give Mario and his family a best case scenario of 15-18 months, if he responds to treatment as expected.
Mario will start chemotherapy on August 11 and will be fighting aggressively against this disease. His family has a long and grueling road ahead of them and they are going to be in need of support during, and after, this fight. Mario has been the primary financial support for his wife & daughter, and helping to ease this burden for them would be a huge weight lifted in both the short and long term. They are going to be faced with many known and unknown expenses for the foreseeable future and the blessing of any form of support during this time would be greatly appreciated.
Mario's wife, Maggie, has set up a website (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mario.quinonez) where she will be keeping updates throughout this time. There are additional resources you can access through the "Ways to Help (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mario.quinonez/support)" section near the top of the website, including sending meal gift cards through Meal Train (https://mealtrain.com/1ozqnz). And of course, you can donate here as well or through Venmo (you can scan the image below to access @quinonezfamily).
We appreciate everyone's support and prayers during this time.
