Fundraiser for Leroy Finken Jr.

Leroy Finken Jr. (aka JR) was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident on June 23rd in which the other driver involved failed to stop at a stop sign and ran in to JR.  JR was life-lifted to HCMC from the Melrose hospital that evening.  While we are so thankful to God for keeping JR with us, he has sustained very serious injuries that will take a great length of time to overcome.  He has fractures in his thumb, wrist, pelvis, fibula and extensive injuries to his back causing both legs to be paralyzed.  He does have some feeling in both legs but is still unable to move them.   We are hopeful with time and healing he will regain function of his legs.  JR was in intensive care for over a week and has undergone multiple extensive surgeries.  He has a very long recovery ahead of him.  He has been transferred to a rehab facility in Sartell and JR and Sis' basement is currently undergoing renovation to be wheelchair accessible for when he is ready to return home .  Given the extent of his injuries and all of the surgeries that have been completed,  the medical bills and renovation costs for the basement are adding up very quickly.  At this time we are unsure if/when JR will be able to return to work.  The last thing we want now is for JR and  his family  to have to worry about how they will manage this financially.  It's imperative that they are able to focus on his healing!  If you are able, please consider a donation to support this amazing family!
