Hi, my name is javier and I've had my dog Kiba since he was 7 weeks old (He's 6 years old as of june 2023). In late march we noticed he was having some new mobility issues and stopped jumping up on the bed and couch and was having a hard time using the bathroom. After 3-4 vet visits it was thought that he had IVDD which is a disc disease in which the disc pops up into the spinal cord and causes some serious mobility issues. He went from being able to run around and be a normal dog at the start of march to not being able to pee or do his business without me holding him up in mid april. After a few more vet visits and a visit to a neurologist for an mri scan, it was determined that Kiba has a cancerous tumor that is wrapping around his spinal cord, which is why he's having so many mobility issues in his back legs. It's been very hard to deal with as realistically there's not much they can do, radiation therapy might be an option but because the tumor is wrapping around his spinal cord, theres a chance the radation could make it worse. The neruologist told us he at best would have 6 months left if radiation isn't an option.

Im struggling a lot to deal with the reality of the situation as Kiba has been the pillar of my growth as a person as I'm only 22 and he was the first dog I've had that is my dog through and through. He helped me through my step dads death in 2016 and is the sole reason I was able to get out of bed for the next few years. On top of dealing with trying to prepare myself mentally for us maybe having to put him down, I'm completely swamped with at least $7,500 worth of vet bills. All funds raised will be going straight to paying that off.

Any help would mean the world to me and help my Father and I be able to enjoy the time left we have with Kiba without having to stress over the monthly payments as much. Anything is greatly appreciated.
