Kayleigh Grimes is a 17 year old girl who attends Fitzgerald high school. She has been involved in dual enrollment since her sophomore year. She loves to spend time with her family and her fur-babies. Before she required medical attention, she was involved with tennis. Kayleigh has had trouble since her freshman year of high school with stomach problems. It started off minor, and has now become a daily struggle. She has seen three different gastroenterologists and has had around 10 emergency ER visits. She has lost a tremendous and unhealthy amount of weight. The severeness of her unknown condition has caused her to have to take online classes, considering she is in and out of the hospital typically every other week. When she is not in the hospital, her symptoms become so severe she is unable to hardly ever leave the house.
After several CT scans and ultrasounds, the doctors are still unable to determine her diagnosis. She was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis in December, but the doctors discovered that was not the cause of her severe problems. She had an exploratory surgery in December that had no success in the diagnosis. She has had 6 colonoscopies and endoscopies that have also rendered no definite diagnosis.
Kayleigh's mother, Rose is a teacher at Ben Hill Primary School. Considering she has to miss work steadily for Kayleigh's health, any donation would be appreciated. The donations will be used strictly for Kayleigh's medical bills and surgeries.
Thank you so much for your time,
The Grimes Family.
