Fundraiser for Karen Jaspe-In Loving Memory of Pepsie Jaspe

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of our beloved Pepsie Jaspe, who has now joined our Papa Rick, in heaven. Pepsie meant everything to everyone. She was the most caring Lola, Tita, and mother.

Pepsie would always sacrifice so much to show love and take care of her family. She would give her last breath if it meant showing love to those she cared for so much. She would cook the most delicious Filipino dishes, (adobo, sinigang, pancit) and never let her grandkids leave her home with an empty stomach.

In September 2019, when she returned home from the Philippines to find out she had lost her husband Rick, she was never the same. Her health began to rapidly decline and she grew weaker and weaker as the years went on.

Karen, my mother, has been her caretaker for over 5 years since the passing of Papa Rick.

Every single day, Karen would look after my Grandma Pepsie, take time away from work for her doctor's appointments, make sure she took her medicine, feed and shower her. Karen dedicated so much time and energy to caring for her mother, while still being a mother to her 2 youngest children, Kalena and Ka'wai.

It has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking 5 years seeing my mother struggle to balance so much in her life, and she has sacrificed so much to be able to give Pepsie a comfortable final years of her life.

Now it's our turn to be there for Karen and help her carry forward. This fundraiser is to help my mom cover the final expenses after death for my Grandma Pepsie, as well as maintain and manage repairs for the family home that Pepsie left behind.
