Fundraiser for Julie Lekwauwa

Hello, my name is Leslie Hansen, and on behalf of Julie’s family, I am asking for your help. Julie and Chima Lekwauwa are facing their greatest challenge yet. Due to a relentless infection that has plagued Julie’s left foot for several years, the doctors have concluded that to end this debilitating cycle causing her pain and illness, that the left foot must be amputated. Julie gains strength from her faith, her loving husband Chima, her family and friends, and like all obstacles she has encountered, is meeting this head on.

This news is devastating on its own, however the affects of this operation are far reaching. There are many financial burdens that insurance will not cover. Julie and Chima will need to move from their home, to a single level home or ground floor apartment (any leads on this is greatly appreciated as well!). Julie will be unable to work until she is healed and fitted with a prosthetic which could take some time. There will be equipment needed to make accommodations accessible for her, ramps to be built, bathrooms to be modified, the list is long.
