Fundraiser for Joey Ryan
Donation protected
My nephew Joey Ryan, son of John and Susan Ryan, age 38, was diagnosed with cancer on January 8th, 2020. His first surgery took place in Moncton on February 10th with a follow up with his doctor in March. The doctor informed him that the surgery was not a complete success and a second surgery was necessary.
-This took place April 21st and was much more invasive with additional complications. Joey met with his doctor with a follow up in May. He was informed that he must undergo chemo therapy and radiation treatments which are scheduled to begin in June of this year. He will have to travel to Moncton 5 days a week for a period of 6-8 weeks.
-This is a 145 km drive, in just one direction. He will not be able to return to work for at least five months. Joey exhausted is sick time at his work location due to the previous surgeries. He will be applying for sick benefits. Joey has a long road ahead of him in order for him to win this battle. He has a positive attitude and we are all praying and supporting him.
Lodging , travelling and everyday living expenses will be a burden without additional help and support. Not to mention with our currently pandemic, the loss of in person fundraisers and family/friends not being able to assist him and the family with his recovery.
