The pandemic hit artists and technicians extremely hard – work has been sparse and difficult to come by. On top of having her industry eviscerated, Jill has recently developed stage 4 melanoma. It has metastasized to her liver and lung. As a result of this, Jill is unable to work in any industry, much less live music.
Jill is currently living alone in her house, where she pays rent. She has a studio in her basement that she loves, and a dog called Annie to take care of. We don’t want her to have to lose her house, studio, and independence. Since COVID currently adds a huge extra risk to Jill, continuing to live independently is the safest option. The money raised would go towards rent, bills, food, treatment, transportation, and possibly a care aide.
Those who love and cherish Jill are now asking her community for support through the coming months of treatment and recovery. A huge stressor during this time is finances and we’re hoping to alleviate that with financial assistance.
On top of this GoFundMe, we are also organizing a silent auction that will take place on January 22nd.
A few options for YOU – a person who wants to help!
DONATE to this GoFundMe! $$ from here will go straight to Jill’s living, treatment, and recovery expenses.
SHARE this post with your family and friends. Let them know how wonderful Jill is and ask for their support.
REACH OUT if you have items/goods you would like to donate to the silent auction we will be hosting on January 22nd (deadline is January 21st, 2022). Examples of some things folks & businesses have already come up are: a film night package, festival passes, a custom-written song, custom beaded gauntlets, and personalized video messages from well-known musicians.
