Fundraiser for Jessie's Final Expenses

Update: On Tuesday, January 25th 2022, our mom Jessie lost her battle against PBC at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. Thanks to all your generous donations, we were able to travel as a family immediately to say our goodbyes. She passed away at 10:45 pm. We all got to see her, hug her and hold her hand one last time.

This is our mother Jessie, she is a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister, and friend to so many.

 

For those of you that don't know, Jessie has been living with an auto-immune disease called PBC (Primary Biliary Cholangitis) for nearly 7 years. This condition has caused the gradual deterioration and now the failure of her liver. Due to this, she is now in desperate need of a life-saving liver transplant.

 

The procedure she needs can only be done at a handful of trained medical facilities throughout the country. She has been accepted to a number of these facilities in order for her to receive her operation. However, waiting for a bed to become available and securing transportation to one of these facilities has been a struggle.

 

We are hoping to raise upwards of $25,000 to assist with her medical expenses and transportation costs associated with her operation. She is in need of a medical flight to take her to either Loma Linda Hospital, UCLA, USC, or Stanford University. Due to COVID-19, many of these medical facilities are short staffed and in short supply of beds and other resources; leaving us on standby, waiting for the next one to become available.
