I was not aware of the cost of cancer.  The stress of bills piling up outside of what insurance would cover was frightening while trying to fight this disease.  Anyone knowing Jennifer Cook knows that she is an amazing friend and wonderful person.  I would like for anyone that can help please do so.  Jenn was diagnosed with stage 3 anal cancer.  She is facing weeks of radiation and chemotherapy with no family here to physically support her.  She is a strong single woman who has been self employed as an independent hairdresser and have been living here in California for over 20 years.  She is the first to jump in and help others and will always make you laugh when needed.  She is 58 and facing a battle that is very costly.  Although she has minimal insurance  we are looking for help from the community to assist with outside of medical expenses.  A food train is being set up by Maggi Novak.  If you would like to help with this please contact her at [phone redacted].  Please hold her in your thoughts and prayers but also contribute what you can to help her not stress with the daily task while fighting this disease.
