Fundraiser for Jeff Swanson & Kayloni Schwarzrock

On 06/20/2020, Jeff Swanson was in an ATV accident, where he suffered significant head trauma and was airlifted to North Memorial. He spent a few weeks in the ICU in critical condition. Jeff is currently at Courage Kenny, a facility that specializes in working with individuals that have suffered from serious head trauma. Jeff had been showing some good signs of progress, and seemed like he was getting back to his old self. One sunny afternoon, we were cleaning up branches from a tree that had fallen in Christine Swanson's back yard, where Caleb, Brigetta, Christine and Braya had all been facetiming with Jeff and he had appeared to be in great spirits. That following day, he had an unexpected brain bleed and he was rushed back to the ICU. Since that brain bleed, Jeff's mental state has been spotty. His brain thinks that he is 40 years old, working for Olinger trucking again, and he thinks that his dad, Harold Swanson, is still living. Due to COVID, only one individual is authorized to see Jeff in person, which makes things even harder on not only Jeff but also his family. Jeff has a long road to recovery, but we are confident that he will pull through this.

On 10/05/2019, Kayloni Schwarzrock was supposed to be at Brigetta Hammer's house helping her move into her new home, but nobody could reach her or had heard back from her for hours. It was during that time that she blacked out and fell. When she blacked out and fell, she hit her head causing her skull to fracture. She was rushed to the hospital. The hospital determined that she had a stroke. Since her first stroke in October of 2019, Kayloni has had multiple seizures on different occasions. Working with medical professionals, Kayloni has had to have multiple tests to try to figure out what caused the stroke and seizures, but their questions remain unanswered.  Medical professionals have been unable to identify what is causing it to happen. After Kayloni's last seizure on 08/26/2020, the doctors decided that they want her to do all of the testing again. This has been very hard for Kayloni and Derek, and they are looking for answers.
