Fundraiser For Jasun Krebs Cancer Fight ♥️

In January of 2022, after a short unexpected hospital stay due to abnormal coughing and shortness of breath, Jasun was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Upon initial diagnosis, Jasun began chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in early February 2022, which have since kept the cancer stable, but have proven unsuccessful in reducing the size of the cancer or making him feel better on a day to day basis.

Through the San Diego oncology network, with the help of his beloved oncologist at Sharp, Jasun was referred to a clinical trial at UCSD for a targeted therapy for his cancer’s specific NSCLC mutation. His Oncologist team at both Sharp and UCSD are hopeful that this new targeted therapy option will work better to eradicate the cancer and result in Jasun feeling much better to return to some sort of a “normal” day to day life.

Recently, Jasun & his girlfriend Rachel were informed that the trial sponsors are not covering the majority of costs associated with the trial. In addition, this program is out of network for his insurance, resulting in Jasun incurring significant out of pocket expenses as payments are due upfront, at time of weekly treatment, beginning September 15th. Little program financial assistance has been provided to date. Subsequently, this clinical research trial is initially 4 weeks and is going to total approximately $10k per cycle, all of which is out of pocket for Jasun who has been unable to work since December 2021. Trial sponsors anticipate Jasun to remain in the trial for at least 3 cycles, which will run thru the end of the year.

At this time, Jasun’s friends and family are seeking support to help fund some of the financial stresses associated with treatment so Jasun can solely focus on healing & mental well-being. His current disability only covers the costs of his day to day living expenses. Any and all support during these unsettling and challenging times would be deeply appreciated to keep Jasun in treatment as he fights this vicious cancer battle alongside his loving girlfriend Rachel, encouraging friends and family.
