Hi everyone. As some of you may know, our mom Jan has been diagnosed (again) with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Jan is a woman that is always there for others and has a heart of gold. Now, it is our turn to help her. So far, this has not been an easy journey. 8 years ago, she went through this process and then thankfully into remission. In February of this year, we found out her cancer was back. She has been fighting hard through chemo treatments, but it has been a difficult journey and she still has a long road ahead of her. Although she receives chemo locally, she is also in need of a stem cell transplant that will take place in the coming months. During this time, she will be at Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY for up to a month. This will be a trying procedure and we would hate for Jan to have to worry about anything but getting better during this time. We believe in Jan, but she needs our support in more ways than one.

 

Jan is receiving chemo treatments every 21 days and is highly susceptible to catching viruses and infections. She has therefore been advised to stay home from work. As you can imagine, this has taken a toll on Jan and Ed’s finances. Through this fundraiser, we hope to raise some money for their living expenses and travel costs in this very trying time.
